Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson is having himself a year.
After winning a World Series ring final month, Swanson bought a different diamond to propose to female friend Mallory Pugh on Thursday.
He got down on one knee within the doorway of a decorated home, where Pugh — a USWNT participant, who won a FIFA World Cup name in 2019 — was once met with a large balloon arch.
The MLB star and soccer sensation shared the news in separate Instagram posts.
“Mr. and Mrs. Swanson coming quickly,” he captioned a photograph that showed him proposing to Pugh. “I LOVE YOU DANSBY,” she wrote in the feedback.
Pugh shared the same photo, together with a closeup shot of her oval-cut diamond, with the caption, “Forever with you.”
After Swanson popped the query, the couple boarded a private aircraft to Miami with friends. The couple shared footage to their Instagram Stories that featured Pugh modeling her engagement ring.
Swanson, Pugh and co. celebrated with a sushi dinner at Miami’s swanky KYU eating place.

The pair has been relationship since overdue 2017, and were introduced by Jace Peterson, Swanson’s former Braves teammate (now Brewers 2nd baseman). Peterson is married to Pugh’s sister, Brianna.
Pugh was once in attendance during Atlanta’s Game 6 win over the Astros to clinch the World Series on Nov. 2.
