I would never wish you to feel the pain inside my body, my heart, said Joe Petit. I wouldnt wish that on anything. Petit said he was denied justice after prosecutors declined to bring charges against his neighbor, who killed his dog Ludwig.

KANE COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) — The owner of a dog who was shot and killed by a neighbor is devastated after Kane County prosecutors declined to price the shooter.

“I'd by no means want you to really feel the ache within my body, my center,” stated Joe Petit. “I wouldn’t wish that on anything.”

Petit stated he used to be denied justice after prosecutors declined to deliver charges against his neighbor, who killed his dog Ludwig.

“I’m at a loss for words. I’m scared. I’m also heartbroken,” he said.

Petit, 52, said investigators unnoticed details and a few witnesses didn’t tell the truth concerning the August 10 incident that left Ludwig, a Dogo Argentino breed, dead.

“If the dog collapsed right here, why did the independent witness say it’s unimaginable?” Petit wondered.

The Kane County Sheriff’s Department stated security video confirmed the two dogs walking with their dog-sitter out of doors the owner’s home in the village of Wayne. When they reached the river, Petit said his neighbor opened hearth several occasions, killing Ludwig, although government mentioned only one shot was once fired.

“There’s no manner, as a result of I heard more than one pictures,” Petit said.

The neighbor, Hal Phipps, who occurs to be the husband of the Wayne village president Eileen Phipps, said the canines have been on his assets and appearing aggressively. He said Ludwig got here into his backyard and bit him back in June. Petit disputes that as smartly.
