Another odd, downright sci-fi year has come and gone. What better approach to have a good time 2021’s death and prepare for what 2022 holds in store than with a heaping dose of Twilight Zone?
The annual Twilight Zone New Year’s Day Marathon is ready to proceed on SYFY this New Year. The marathon spans three days, from Friday, Dec. 31 at 2:00 a.m., kicking off with The Twilight Zone season 4 episode, “The Parallel” and running until Sunday, Jan. 2 at 5:00 a.m with “He’s Alive.”
The holiday season marks a distinct time in The Twilight Zone. Serling was born on Christmas Day 1924 and the sequence has a memorable homage to Miracle on 34th Street with season two’s “The Night of The Meek,” set throughout Christmas. Outside of his anthology masterpiece, Serling even wrote his own take on A Christmas Carol, as a TV movie that includes Peter Sellers, that was once nearly utterly forgotten for nearly 50 years prior to it resurfaced on television. We wrote more on that here.
The Twilight Zone Holiday Marathons–first Thanksgiving, then July 4th, and now New Years–have their very own history, which we detailed a few years back. The marathon’s most recent home has been SYFY. You can take a look at the network’s complete Twilight Zone Marathon schedule under, as first reported by Shadow & Substance.
