A creep choked and tried to rape a 30-year-old woman on a Greenwich Village sidewalk early Sunday morning — but fled after the sufferer fought again, government mentioned.
Obafemi Crosland, 28, allegedly attacked the woman on Sixth Avenue near West 13th Street — pushing her up in opposition to the wall and wrapping his hand around her neck, in step with a criminal grievance.
The suspect then forcibly touched the woman and attempted to tug down her pants, the complaint mentioned.
The sufferer struggled along with her attacker, screamed for assist and managed to chew the person’s hand, the court docs say.
The suspect fled and was arrested within reach, according to police. He was once charged with tried rape, sexual abuse and strangulation.
Crosland used to be held on $10,000 bail at his arraignment.
